Wesleyan Orders Frats to Go Coed

MIDDLETOWN, Conn. - Wesleyan University ordered its fraternities to admit women following injuries and allegations of sexual assault at the male social and residential organizations.

Fraternities must become coed within three years, submit to additional oversight and eliminate freshman "rushing" activities or students will no longer be allowed to reside there, according to a statement sent to the Wesleyan community Monday.

Wesleyan fraternities have been the subject of two lawsuits since 2012 alleging sexual assault. While the school has said it took appropriate action to protect the women who filed the suits, it has become one of the many U.S. universities to question whether it can do more to keep students safe.

iPhone rollout: 10 million

CUPERTINO, Calif. - Apple Inc. sold a record of more than 10 million iPhones the first weekend two new versions hit stores, helping CEO Tim Cook in a push to narrow Samsung Electronics Co.'s lead in bigger-screen smartphones.

Sales surpassed last year's 9 million units when the iPhone 5s and 5c were introduced, Apple said in a statement Monday. The devices went on sale Friday in the same countries as the 2013 rollout, with the exception of mainland China, which had sparked concern this year's debut might fall short of the record.

Tour bus crash probed
