Five Steelers Earn Spots in Pro Bowl

There should be no surprise the Steelers offense has a big presence on the Pro Bowl team, but the one defensive player of the five who made the roster will be the most popular pick in their locker room.

Linebacker Lawrence Timmons, who many teammates have said has played at a Pro Bowl level through the years, made his first Pro Bowl.

The other four Steelers are from the NFL's No. 1 offense -- quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, wide receiver Antonio Brown, halfback Le'Veon Bell and center Maurkice Pouncey. It is Pouncey's fourth Pro Bowl in his five seasons; he did not make it last year when he missed all but the first series with a torn anterior cruciate ligament. Roethlisberger and Brown made it for the third time. This is Bell's first.

Timmons, in his eighth season, leads the Steelers in tackles with 130, or double that of Mike Mitchell, who is second. …
