MURRYSVILLE - Murrysville Community Center is scheduled for a face-lift. Council members viewed a presentation about recommended renovations to the community center, including adding stone and wood interior decorations, installing a historic photo mosaic and plastering over cinder block walls.

The goal is to make the center more aesthetically appealing to increase rental activity and revenue. According to chief administrator Jim Morrison, the center has been operating at a deficit but has the potential to be profitable, if improvements are made. Council approved putting the project out to bid and expects the cost to fall within the $40,000 budgeted for renovations at the center.
