PTC Seamless Tube enters bankruptcy

Cost overruns at a mill being built in Hopkinsville, Ky., have forced PTC Seamless Tube into bankruptcy. The Marshall-based company said in court papers that the project, substantially over budget and eight months behind schedule, triggered restrictions in its credit agreement, leaving it unable to borrow money. PTC Seamless is part of PTC Alliance, which said Monday's bankruptcy filing in Pittsburgh won't have an impact on operations, customers, vendors or employees.

Mylan issues voluntary recall of injectable products

Mylan's U.S.-based institutional business is conducting a voluntary nationwide recall at the hospital and user level of select lots of injectable products due to the presence of foreign particulate matter observed during testing of retention samples, according to a Food and Drug Administration MedWatch safety advisory. The injectables include gemcitabine, carboplatin, methotrexate and cytarabine. Consumers with questions can contact Mylan customer relations at 1-800-796-9526. Consumers should contact their physician or health care provider to report any problems.

Rice Energy signs lease in Southpointe

Rice Energy has signed a long-term lease with Burns & Scalo Real Estate Services to locate its headquarters in a new 150,000-square- foot building at the Southpointe complex in Washington County.
