ST. LOUIS > Bank is robbed * A man robbed the Commerce Bank at 6327 Chippewa Street about 9:50 a.m. Friday.

The robber passed a note to the teller. He did not display a weapon and fled after taking an undisclosed amount of money.

The robber was wearing a hoodie, dark pants and dark shoes. He covered his face with a scarf.

He is described as being a black man in his late 20s to early 30s with a heavy build. Police said he was about 5 feet 9 inches tall.

Anyone with information is asked to call CrimeStoppers at 866- 371-8477. An anonymous tip that leads to a felony arrest is eligible for a $1,000 reward.

CLAYTON > Killer of pizza delivery man gets 25-year sentence * A man charged with killing an Imo's delivery driver in Dellwood in November 2012 was sentenced Friday to 25 years in prison.

Earon Anthony Rivers, who was 17 at the time of the murder, was caught in a house with the empty pizza boxes and murder weapon, authorities say.

Rivers, of the 10000 block of Bon Oak Drive, was charged with second-degree murder, first-degree robbery and two counts of armed criminal action. He pleaded guilty on Nov. 17. St. Louis County Circuit Court Judge Michael Burton sentenced him to 25 years on each count, with the sentences to run concurrently.

The delivery driver, Brian W. Johnson, 39, of St. Louis County, was found slumped behind the steering wheel of his car in the 1600 block of Mowbry Lane on Nov. 5, 2012. Police say he had been shot once under his left armpit and was dead when officers arrived.

Police said three pizzas and a cellphone were taken from Johnson. According to court documents, Rivers had called in the pizza order to set up the robbery.

Rivers was one of four suspects arrested by police shortly after the murder. One was 15 and two were 17 at the time. They were never charged.
