Fayette County's Dee Nalls Has Size, Strength to Succeed

Fayette County High School senior Dee Nalls' size and strength on the football field hasn't gone unnoticed.

The 6-foot-3, 295-pound offensive lineman is listed No. 30 on The Tuscaloosa News' annual Alabama's Most Wanted ranking of the state's top 50 prospects.

"No question he has got a God-given tool that you can't coach, and it starts with size. It starts with great hips and great feet," Tigers head coach Lance Tucker said. "That is what college recruiters are looking at, and no matter how good you coach, you can't coach that God-given ability."

Nalls played a big role in Fayette County's 9-4 campaign and trip to the Class 4A quarterfinals last season. He said he enjoyed helping his cousin, Kyle Nalls, who signed with the University of Tennessee-Chattanoga, rush for 2,284 yards and 30 touchdowns.

"It was exciting knowing that he could depend on running the ball on my side," Nalls said.

"We had him at right tackle last year, and any time there is a big, strong kid in high school like that you want to use him as much as possible," Tucker said. …
