Raising Hope in Henryetta: Muscogee (Creek) Nation to Construct Six Buildings for Reintegration Program

HENRYETTA - The Muscogee (Creek) Nation Reintegration Program will quadruple its size with construction of a $6.4 million campus in Henryetta.

The 8-year-old Reintegration Program helps incarcerated tribal citizens work their way back into society, Project Coordinator Kevin Green said.

Red Stone Construction of Tulsa will break ground on the six- building project Friday, working from plans by the Tulsa firm 1Architecture. Completion is scheduled for July 2016.

The expansion project at 615 E. Corporation St. in Henryetta will raise four residential buildings totaling 13,000 square feet. They will provide housing for up to 39 people.

"We put our clients in Tulsa or Henryetta or Okmulgee at this time, in hotels or apartments or rent houses," Green said. "This facility will allow us to handle a majority of our clients here on our grounds."

That will eliminate drive times for participants and workers, he said.

The project also will give the program a 4,000-square-foot vocational-technical building and an 8,300-square-foot administration building. …
