LAKEWOOD TOWNSHIP, N.J. - Austin Coley allowed one run on two hits and struck out three in five innings as the West Virginia Power took down the Lakewood BlueClaws 5-1 Thursday night at FirstEnergy Park. Coley notched his 11th win of the season, putting the right- hander one victory shy of matching the franchise record for wins in a season. Evan Anundsen went 12-8 for the Power in 2008.

Lakewood took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first. Herlis Rodriguez walked, moved to third on a bunt single and a groundout and scored on a sacrifice fly by Damek Tomscha.

West Virginia answered in the top of the second, using back-to- back singles by Jerrick Suiter and Pablo Reyes and a walk by Taylor Gushue to load the bases with one out. Tito Polo singled in Suiter and Reyes, and Jordan Luplow doubled in Gushue and Polo to put the Power up 4-1. …
