SADDLE BROOK - Will Marcjanik wasn't concerned about an injury, only the score of the game.

With his team trailing by one in the final minutes, Marcjanik helped spark a rally that led Saddle Brook to a 3-2 victory over Bogota on Wednesday in a non-league boys soccer game.

After aggravating a lower back bruise earlier in the game and missing more than half of the contest, Marcjanik reentered with about six minutes remaining and the Falcons behind, 2-1.

Mohammed Elshekh buried a 20-foot shot into the lower left-hand corner off an assist from Franco Minambre with four minutes left to tie it at 2. Then Alfredo Atencio made a strong run up the right side of the field, dished off to Marcjanik, and the senior midfielder connected from 6 feet away with 1:30 left as he lofted it into the upper right-hand corner for the decisive tally.

"I never felt like we were out of it although I knew time was getting a bit short," Marcjanik said. "We have a lot of experienced seniors like Mohammed, Franco, Alfredo and Brian Burns, and they all made a big impact. …
