Player to watch: Washington State quarterback Luke Falk, who started three games last season, completed 27 of 41 passes for 289 yards and two touchdowns in the Cougars' 24-17 season-opening loss to Portland State, the first time Washington State has lost to an FCS opponent. Falk was shaken up late in the game, but he's expected to start today.

Rutgers offense vs. Washington State defense: Chris Laviano makes his debut as RU's starting quarterback after he threw three TD passes to record-setting wide receiver Leonte Carroo in the season- opening rout of Norfolk State. Laviano sat out the first half for violating team rules and while Hayden Rettig played well in his place, Scarlet Knights coach Kyle Flood is going back to Laviano. Rutgers' best defense in this game could be its running offense. Rutgers rolled up 291 yards rushing against Norfolk State and expect the Scarlet Knights to pound the ball against Washington State's 3- 4 defense that's led by linebacker Kache Palacio. …
