An international ensemble of musicians will perform works from across the globe in honor of the International Day of Peace on Sept. 20 at the Historic Asolo Theater.

"Intercultural Harmonies," presented by Artist Series Concerts of Sarasota, will feature cellist Udi Bar-David, violinist Hanna Khoury, erhu virtuoso Jiebing Chen and percussionist Hafez Javier Kotain. Their program will include Vivaldi's Concerto for Two Cellos in G minor, "Hora Mamter" by Moshe Vilensky, the "Butttefly Lovers' Violin Concerto" by He Zhanhao and Chen Gang, and "Longa Farahfaza" by Riad Al-Sunbati. The musicians will be joined by the Sarasota Young Voices and gospel singer Ozanda Gray.

Bar-David, an Isaraeli-born cellist with the Philadelphia Orchestra and the driver behind the concert, has spent the past 15 years using music and the arts to facilitate conflict resolution.
