Hayden senior running back

His performance: Schumacher, a 5-foot-11, 205-pound senior, rushed for 59 yards on 13 carries, caught six passes for 100 yards and scored two touchdowns in Hayden's 21-14 come-from-behind win over Manhattan last Friday night. After Hayden fell behind 14-0 Schumacher got the Wildcats on the board with a 2-yard run then busted a shovel pass from Dallas Crittenden for a 45-yard TD to tie the game on the final play of the first half.

Coach's comment: "He's a kid that you want to try and get the ball to and as a coach you have to be very conscious about how many touches he gets a game," Hayden coach Bill Arnold said. "I think the thing I like the most about him is that he's a competitor. He wants to win and he's going to do whatever it takes to get a win."
