FANCY dress isn't just for trick and treating kids, you know. With All Hallow's Eve falling on a Saturday this year there are plenty of ghoulish goings on for the grownups to enjoy too.

ONLY JOKING RECORDS HALLOWEEN EXTRAVAGANZA AND MONTY'S MONSTER BASH THE record label is bringing together some of its favourite live acts for the first half of one huge 30-hour Halloween party inside one of Salford's best-kept secrets - the soon-to-be-opened White Hotel.

Underground Youth, Girl Sweat, The Franceens, Peace & Love Barbershop, Muhammad Ali and Fruit Tones will get the party started on October 31, while visual artist Adam 'Monty' Renshaw has programmed a stellar line-up of DJs to take revellers deep into the dark heart of the Day of the Dead on November 1. Fancy dress is compulsory, so that's you told.
