Devastated Family Pay Tribute to Teen Who Died in Motorbike Crash ; Rider's Aunt Voices Grief after Horrific Accident, as Facebook Friends Leave Their Messages of Condolence

TRIBUTES have been paid to a teenager who died in a horrific smash involving his motorcycle and a quadbike.

Tom Fannon, from Reddish, had been fighting for his life in Salford Royal Hospital after the accident in Gorton on Tuesday night but died on Wednesday.

The 18-year-old was travelling along Highgate Crescent, when he was involved in a crash with 19-year-old Sam Edge, who was on a quad bike.

His devastated aunt Julie Fannon paid tribute to the teenager, who was also known by the surname Hodson.

She said: "He will always be loved and remembered. A part of us has gone. He will be safe in the hands of his grandad now.

"He had just left college and was looking for jobs before this happened and had just passed his driving theory test."

It is believed the two teenagers knew each other but the circumstances of the crash are not yet known.

Pals of Tom also paid tribute to the popular teenager on social media.

Geoff O'Connor wrote: "So sad can't believe it, Tom has been taken away. …
