WILF HAS CHANCE TO SHINE ; Manuel Pellegrini Stays Positive despite Missing Sergio Aguero, Saying Bony Can Fill the Argentine Striker's Boots

UNLUCKY Wilfried Bony can show what he is made of in Sergio Aguero's absence.

City boss Manuel Pellegrini confirmed Argentine ace Aguero will be out for a month after injuring his hamstring playing for his country last week.

And while the loss of his number one hitman is a blow, Pellegrini has faith that Bony can put some ill fortune behind him to shine.

The Ivorian has suffered injury set-backs since signing for the Blues from Swansea in January and missed the club's pre-season tour with illness.

"I always trust Wilfried - he's a very good player," Pellegrini said.

"He's had very bad luck here. He arrived in January, he went to the African Cup and then he had problems with his knee.

"Last season he couldn't demonstrate what he can do but now he has the responsibility."

"We also have Kelechi - the team is the most important thing, how we are moving forward."

Pellegrini expects Sergio Aguero to be back in action in a month.

And he will be without David Silva and Aleks Kolarov for around a fortnight as well.

That would rule all three out of the derby a week on Sunday.

The City manager confirmed that his Argentine striker will, as expected, be unavailable for around four weeks after picking up a hamstring injury playing his country last week.

Silva and Kolarov also picked up knocks on international duty and Pellegrini said: "Aguero has a muscle injury - it's an important injury so I don't think he will be back before one month. …
