Executives of major TV news outfits have been quiet in the face of a draft document from Republican campaigns outlining demands of networks that host GOP presidential debates, following a widely criticized CNBC debate last week. Among the requests: temps below 67 degrees on the debate stage; opening and closing statements; no "yes/no" questions; preapproval of graphics and bio information.

That last one sounds like a nonstarter, considering that TV networks have, you know, editorial prerogatives. Monday on her Fox News program, host Megyn Kelly riffed through the requests-cum-demands and couldn't resist poking fun. "Approval of any on-screen graphics aired during the debate - yeah, that's gonna happen," said Ms. Kelly, mockingly.

The draft document stems from a meeting Sunday at which many of the campaigns expressed their frustration with the efforts of the Republican National Committee to negotiate debate terms with the networks, although Donald Trump's operation announced Monday that he'll be doing his own negotiating. …
