CREVE COEUR * One of the highest-rated girls basketball recruits in the nation finalized her dream Wednesday at Parkway North.

Vikings senior Alecia Sutton the No. 2 point guard in the country according to signed her national letter of intent to play college basketball at the University of Texas.

"It's a good feeling, a big relief, to be able to finally sign my name on the line," Sutton said. "I know where I'm going to be for the next four years. Hard work has paid off. Going there has been a dream of mine for a long time. Now I can finally say it is a dream come true."

Sutton, a 5-foot-8 point guard, is part of a Longhorns recruiting class that includes 6-foot-3 forward Joyner Holmes, the No. 2- ranked recruit nationally. Holmes hails from Cedar Hill, Texas.

Coming off a junior season in which she was a first-team All- Metro selection for the Vikings, Sutton is ranked No. 6 nationally for all players by
