Lucky or Good: Both Apply the Fumbler

Article excerpt

It's better to be lucky than good.

The Fumbler has heard that saying for years, but has never applied it to his line of work because he believes his success and fame has come strictly because of his talent, with luck having nothing to do with it.

But after an impressive start to the playoffs, The Fumbler said to himself, "Wouldn't it be best to be lucky [it] and [it] good?"

So, just like anyone in need of some luck, The Fumbler sought a leprechaun. And wouldn't you know it, there was one at Heinz Field last Saturday dressed in green and gold along the Notre Dame sideline when the Irish took on Pitt.

The Fumbler met up with the leprechaun before the game, hoping maybe the mascot could rub off some luck on him and maybe even pass along some magical powers. But as it turns out, the guy wasn't a real leprechaun. He was just an average college student who earned the gig after a rigorous tryout process.

You guessed it, The Fumbler was out of luck. And even more so when he realized he had lost his wallet and locked his keys in his car.

From now on, he'll stick to simply being good.

The Fumbler surely didn't need any luck last week. He went 29-4 (.878) to make him 510-102 (.833) for the season.
