Hearing Set for Next Week on Motion to Exclude Judge

A hearing has been scheduled in the case of former Allegheny County Councilman Chuck McCullough, who has claimed the judge who heard his criminal trial had improper communication with Mr. McCullough's previous lawyer.

The evidentiary hearing regarding the alleged ex parte communications between attorney Jon Pushinsky and Common Pleas Judge Lester G. Nauhaus is scheduled for Thursday before Common Pleas President Judge Jeffrey A. Manning.

In a nonjury trial, Mr. McCullough was found guilty by Judge Nauhaus of 10 of 24 counts against him alleging that he took money from an elderly woman he represented.
