Bungling Criminals Burn Down Their Cannabis Farm

BUNGLING crooks accidentally burned down their cannabis farm.

It's believed the offenders were stealing power supplies for their specialist growing lamps, but an electrical fault sparked a blaze.

The flames took hold of the drug factory, which was set up in a loft in Crumpsall, destroying the plants and equipment.

Firefighters were called to Delaunays Road, near the junction with Crumpsall Way, after nearby residents saw smoke billowing from the roof of a terraced house. Three crews and an aerial support unit were scrambled to the scene and discovered a fire in the roof space of the property.

Once they brought the flames under control, the burnt remains of a cannabis farm were discovered and police were called. …
