- IMAGINE comedian Vic Reeves walking the Weatherfield cobbles. Well, it could happen if he gets his own way.

The Smell of Reeves and Mortimer funnyman says his ultimate ambition would be to star in Coronation Street - and not just in a cameo role playing himself. He wants to play the son of The Kabin shop co-owner Norris Cole.

He told departing producer Stuart Blackburn at the Royal Television Society North West Awards that he wants to join the ITV soap.

He said: "I would like to be Norris' son.

"I have watched Corrie since I was little and I have never, ever missed an episode. For me it's the greatest TV.

"It would love to be on Corrie. It would make my life complete."

Vic, pictured, can reel off a list of his favourite characters but his all time favourite is Mary Taylor, played by Patti Clare. …
