Sterling Will Have Point to Prove, Says Aldridge

LIVERPOOL have been urged to take out their frustration over Raheem Sterling's move to City on the pitch on Saturday.

The two clubs will meet at the Etihad Stadium for the first time since Sterling made a controversial Pounds 44m move down the East Lancs Road in the summer.

Sterling will get a hostile reception from the travelling Liverpool fans, after his transfer created some bad blood, not least between his agent Aidy Ward and the Liverpool management at the time.

Brendan Rodgers has since been sacked, but Ward had one final pop last week, saying that Sterling has improved since moving to the Blues.

That brought a response from Liverpool legend John Aldridge, who urged the Scousers to pay the England man some close attention.

"The main issue is how Liverpool handle Sterling on the pitch this weekend," Aldridge told the Daily Express. …
