LIVERPOOL'S weak spot has kindly been pointed out to City - by an Anfield legend!

John Aldridge says that City pair Vincent Kompany and Nicolas Otamendi offer a clear and present danger to the Scousers when the two teams meet at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday teatime.

The former Republic of Ireland striker Aldridge believes that the Scousers have a serious problem from set-pieces and has urged Jurgen Klopp to work on the problem in training this week.

"The likes of Vincent Kompany and Nicolas Otamendi are a big threat at corners, and City will surely look to exploit Liverpool's known weakness in that area," said Aldridge, himself a great goal poacher with 63 goals in 104 games for Liverpool.

"Hopefully they will have worked on the issue on the training ground this week."

City were a mixed bag from set-pieces last season, scoring nine from crossed free-kicks and corners while conceding several, but they are already looking more dangerous this campaign. …
