Hatters Boost as Midfielder Returns from 10-Game Ban

STOCKPORT County arrived in Lowestoft last night feeling confident of returning to winning ways in the National League North.

Last week's 1-1 draw with Tamworth at Edgeley Park made it just one point out of a possible nine and saw the Hatters slip to eighth in the table.

But despite the mini-blip, the overall performance against the high-flyers provided County fans with hope that a win can be achieved today - as well as the return of popular midfielder Glenn Rule after a 10-game ban.

"Glenn gives us an extra spark," said manager Neil Young.

"We want to try to press high and get the ball back as high up the pitch as we can."

CURZON ASHTON and Chorley are directly below County and the two sides go head-tohead today.

STALYBRIDGE CELTIC are level with the Nash and face a long trip to third-bottom Brackley.

FC UNITED are now second-bottom after losing their last seven in the league and have a tough task away to leaders Nuneaton Town. …
