EDMOND, Okla. -- Washburn's postseason volleyball fate now is in the hands of the NCAA.

Top-seeded Central Oklahoma held the Ichabods to an .085 hitting percentage Friday en route to a 25-23, 22-25, 25-16, 25-22 victory in the semifinals of the MIAA Tournament at Hamilton Field House.

The loss leaves the Ichabods with a 28-5 record and anxiously awaiting Monday's announcement of the 64-team NCAA Tournament field.

The tournament will feature eight teams from each of the eight NCAA Division II regions across the country. Washburn entered the MIAA Tournament ranked 15th nationally but only seventh in the Central Region.

Senior Barbara Jackson posted a double-double with 18 kills and 13 digs Friday to lead the Bronchos to the MIAA championship match. …
