WE WERE TOO CLUMSY SAYS DELPH Samuel Luckhurst FABIAN Delph believes City were 'clumsy' in their 4-1 home defeat to Liverpool.

The midfielder watched from the substitutes' bench as Jurgen Klopp's side raced into a 3-0 lead inside 32 minutes against a lethargic and disjointed City.

Delph came on at half-time, along with Fernandinho, for Yaya Toure and Jesus Navas, but could not help City recover.

"Fair play to Liverpool for the way they came out but we looked too clumsy," he said.

"Obviously the new manager they've got has implemented a system to press high. We expected that and we knew what they were going to come with.

"We were off in the first 45 minutes, then the performance in the second-half was a bit more positive - a bit more direct. …
