Juventus Injury Crisis a Welcome Boost for City

CITY travel to Turin tomorrow to play Juventus in their penultimate Champions League group match, with the Italian side facing something of an injury crisis.

Former United left-back Patrice Evra came off after 28 minutes in Juventus' 1-0 win over AC Milan on Saturday evening and won't play, with Sami Khedira, Hernanes and Martin Caceres also likely to miss out.

"His [Evra's] condition will be monitored over the course of the coming days," the club said.

"Also on the sidelines was Hernanes, who reported discomfort in his adductor muscle and will undergo tests tomorrow.

"Finally, Martin Caceres' condition will continue to be assessed on a daily basis as he bids to shake off a thigh strain."

Roberto Pereyra and Kwadwo Asamoah have already been ruled out, leaving Juventus looking short on numbers ahead of City's visit on Wednesday. …
