Kreider Misses Another Penalty Shot

SUNRISE, Fla. -- Panthers goalie Roberto Luongo made a stick save on Chris Kreider's penalty shot at 6:15 of the first period just two days after Ben Bishop stopped Kreider's penalty shot at 3:51 of the third period in the Rangers' 2-1 loss at Tampa Bay.

Per the Elias Sports Bureau, Kreider is the first Ranger to have penalty shots in successive games.

"And to miss them?" Kreider asked. "It hit his knob, he was pretty much beat. I don't know what else I can do."

Kreider also became the first NHL player with a penalty shot in two straight games since the Atlanta Thrashers' Marian Hossa on Dec. 15 and 17, 2005.

LUNDQVIST OK: There was a long stoppage after Henrik Lundqvist stopped Nick Bjugstad's shot with his midsection at 3:28 of the second period.
