OM Group, a specialty materials and specialty chemicals company based in Cleveland, said Monday it has changed its name to Vectra and will move its headquarters to Clayton.

Between 30 and 40 employees will be based at its new headquarters in the PNC Center building, 120 South Central Avenue, beginning in the first quarter of 2016, a company spokesperson said.

Formerly a publicly traded company, OM Group last month was acquired by funds managed by affiliates of New York-based Apollo Global Management and became a privately held subsidiary of Apollo Funds.

In 2014, OM Group's revenue exceeded $1 billion, which included two business units that were sold to an affiliate of West Palm Beach, Fla.-based Platform Specialty Products in October when the company went private.
