LANCASHIRE'S Stephen Parry claimed two wickets as England claimed victory over Pakistan in the first T20 clash of a three-match series.

The spinner finished with figures of 2-33 as England bowled out Pakistan for 146 - 14 runs short of England's total.

Parry claimed the wicket of Mohammed Rizwan with just his fourth ball -a slow delivery that clipped the top of off-stump.

And he followed up with the pize wicket of Pakistan skipper Shahidi Afridi for a duck - caught by Jason Roy.

The foundations for England's success in Dubai was built on the runs of James Vince (41), skipper Eoin Morgan (45 not out) and a formidable 25-ball 53 from Sam Billings.

The Kent wicketkeeper was impressive but he was a surprise inclusion in place of rested Lancashire star Jos Buttler, who found form in his last two one-day international knocks after struggling in Test cricket. …
