Herrera: I Will Fight for My Place at United

ANDER Herrera insists he's ready to fight for his place at United even if the club continue to splash the cash in the transfer market.

The 26-year-old has been in and out of the team under Louis van Gaal since agreeing a Pounds 28m move from Athletic Bilbao in 2014.

The Spanish midfielder won back his place in the team for the 2- 1 win at Watford last weekend but his comeback only lasted 25 minutes before he hobbled off with a hamstring injury.

He faces competition in midfield from Michael Carrick, Bastian Schweinsteiger, Morgan Schneiderlin and Marouane Fellaini.

But he insists that even if United spend heavily in January or next summer, he's determined to fight for his place at Old Trafford.
