MACCLESFIELD lie in wait for ASHTON UNITED if they can make it through to the first round of the FA Trophy.

Ashton remained in the hat after claiming a 0-0 draw at Gainsborough Trinity in the third qualifying round on Saturday.

The Evo-Stik Premier side hosts the replay tonight and the two teams now know that a trip to Macc is the prize for the winners at Hurst Cross.

And Ashton will be hopeful they can overcome the National League North outfit having lost just one of their last 11 games, a run which leaves them two points outside the play-off places.

The Silkmen's Vanarama National League rivals ALTRINCHAM were also handed a home tie in yesterday's firstround draw with Lee Sinnott's men facing Leamington, from the Southern League Premier Division.
