.EXPERTS in football finance have given their take on City's multi-million pound partnership deal with Chinese investors.

In an interview with the M.E.N. they said the Pounds 265m invested in the club - to take a 13 per cent share - values City at Pounds 2bn, roughly the same as neighbours United.

They also said the investment will change the 'perception' of City as a brand and allow them to buy the world's very best footballers.

It comes after City announced that Chinese media, entertainment, sports and internet company CMC (China Media Capital) Holdings is leading the consortium.

Phil Adams, chief executive of Manchesterbased international investment bank Altium, said: "$3bn (Pounds 2bn) is now the value of City as a club if the figures announced are right.

"United's market cap is $3bn, so City are now pretty much the same in terms of value. …
