Chase Ends in Arrest; Suspect Charged with Attempted Murder, Kidnapping

A Tuscaloosa man wanted in connection with a shooting earlier this year was arrested Sunday in Northport on unrelated charges.

LaDavid Termaine Wilson, 35, remained in the Tuscaloosa County Jail on Monday with no bond set on a charge of first-degree robbery.

He also faces charges of first-

degree kidnapping, third-degree burglary and attempted murder, with bonds totaling $135,000 set on those charges.

Wilson was captured after a vehicle and foot chase that ended in an apartment on West Circle, located across from Kentuck Park in Northport, according to a news release from Northport Police Lt. Chris Stewart.

The chase began Sunday when officers for the Northport police were patrolling in the 3500 block of Fifth Street and observed a vehicle they described as driving recklessly.

As an officer attempted to make contact with the driver of the vehicle, the driver drove away from officers and ran from the vehicle into an apartment in West Circle, the release said. …
