Christmas Historic Homes Tour on Tap in St. Albans Saturday

The St. Albans Historical Society's 23rd annual Christmas Historic Homes Tour is scheduled from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 5. Two historical homes will be open for the tour, as well as several historical churches and buildings. A KRT Trolley will be taking visitors this year to the various properties, making a continuous loop.

The tour will begin at the St. Albans Historical Society Building at 404 Fourth Ave., adjacent to the C&O Depot. Next door is the C&O Depot (circa 1906), with train displays and railroad items.

Also on this year's tour are St. Mark's Episcopal Church (circa 1847) and St. Paul's Baptist Church (circa 1921), both on B Street. The Old Post Office -- Chapman Technical (circa 1937) and the Beeches-Smith House (circa 1873) are also on the tour. …
