Armed men rob bank

Two masked men robbed a Huntington Bank branch in White Oak at gunpoint Saturday, ordering employees and two customers to the floor and making off with cash snatched from teller drawers.

The robbery occurred at 9:09 a.m., shortly after the branch opened in the 1900 block of Lincoln Way.

Events unfolded when a white car pulled up in front of the bank, parking in the wrong direction, said White Oak police Chief Louis G. Bender.

One robber brandished a revolver and ordered people to get down. His accomplice vaulted a waist-high swing door to the tellers' area, filled a plastic bag with cash, came back to the public area of the bank and then vaulted the counter again to get more money, Chief Bender said.

Scott Bernazzoli, a spokesman for the FBI's Pittsburgh office, said the robber who got the money also had a handgun. …
