A JOINER has been left devastated after Pounds 3,000 worth of power tools were stolen from the back of his van.

Stephen Gilbert, 24, from Heaton Mersey, Stockport, has not been able to work since the tools were taken at around 5am on November 3. The thief broke into the back of Stephen's dark blue van and escaped with the tools which Stephen had saved up for years to buy, and start up his own business - SG Joiners and Construction.

Around Pounds 3,000 worth of tools were taken including a Makita cordless combi drill, Bosch planer and Paslode nail gun.

A Makita radio, chop saw, circular saw, more drills and other important items were also taken.

Stephen, who is saving up to buy a house with his partner, is now doing a bit of labouring work to earn some money to pay for living expenses. …
