Phoenix Boss Praises Fans'helping Hand

MANCHESTER Phoenix head coach Tony Hand has heaped praise on the fans for their response to the formation of a supporters' trust in order to guarantee the club's future.

After being forced to play in Deeside this season, Phoenix have struggled financially and are in desperate need of cash in order to complete the campaign and hopefully move back to Manchester next year.

That has led to the creation of a trust and with a number of donations already made, Hand is extremely grateful.

"The supporters trust is a great idea as it allows the fans to play a crucial role in the club's future but we need additional funding to get through to the summer," he said.

"The fans have been fantastic and I've never once thought about running away, as both Neil (Morris, the owner) and I have put in so much.

"Any help from Phoenix fans or those from other clubs is hugely appreciated. …
