WITH both the horrendous news from Cumbria and the Borders and current media obsession with terrorism and violence, people could be forgiven for forgetting the far more significant UN 'Conference Of the Parties' climate talks drawing to an end in Paris.

Whatever the outcome, we can be sure some will salute it as a triumph, some as a disastrous sell-out to corporate interests.

People may feel it's a big thing they can't be sure about and have heard arguments about sun-spots, long-term change, and inaccurate predictions. But the vast majority of people who study these things are in no doubt- the 'debate' about the reality of climate change being caused by man should be over and is only kept going by journalistic irresponsibility liking to 'give both sides. …
