Hatters Return to Winning Ways in Emphatic Fashion ; Non-League Sam Byrne

STOCKPORT County boss Neil Young believes his side's unity got them back to winning ways.

The Hatters romped to a 4-0 victory at Corby Town on Saturday, withall four goals coming after the break.

Midfielder Karl Ledsham put the Hatters in front before Jonny Margetts scored two penalties, either side of a Kayode Odejayi header, to seal County's first win since October.

It ended a rotten run of seven games without a win.

"The players have taken a bit of a pounding over the past few weeks, but we stuck together and I'm very pleased for the lads," said Young.

"There are a lot of boys in that team from lower leagues, and while it was always going to be difficult against the wind in the first half, we were excellent in the second half."

County remain eighth in the National League North but they're back within five points of the play-off places. …
