Profits and Revenues Grow at Gateley after IPO

GATELEY, the first UK law firm to be listed when it started trading on AIM this summer, has grown its half year revenues by more than 10 per cent to Pounds 29.6m.

Pre tax profits were also up 11.5 per cent to Pounds 2.9m in the six months to October 31.

It comes after the firm raised Pounds 30m from June's IPO.

In the six month period Gateley advised on 123 corporate deals with an aggregate value in excess of Pounds 970m - compared with 2014's 117 deals.

The firm has an office at Ship Canal House on King Street, Manchester and says staff number grew from 604 to 622 in the six months.

Chief executive Michael Ward said: "I am delighted with the performance of the business during the six month period to 31 October 2015, a period in which we have achieved and in some cases over-achieved against the targets we set ourselves at the time of our IPO in June 2015. …
