THERE'S one young man, Adam Calow, who epitomises what is great about our game.

The 24-year-old is a great example of a person who has overcome challenges to be successful. Adam is a Level 1 and 2 qualified coach who also has certificates for coaching the disabled.

He is extremely proud to be an integral part of the Manchester United Foundation set-up and not only coaches their youth team who play in the Greater Manchester Ability Counts Football League (GMACFL), but also plays for the adult open-age side as a striker.

In his eighth year as a coach, he already has a huge amount of experience and knowledge far beyond his years. The reason he loves his football so much is that it has given him a chance to shine and show that despite his physical challenges with cerebral palsy and epilepsy, he can still enjoy the game to the fullest. …
