Blues * The Blues beat the Predators 4-0 in Nashville on Nov. 7 in their only meeting so far this season. Despite the margin of victory, the biggest for the Blues this season, it was a one-goal game entering the third period, when the Blues scored three times. Jake Allen made a career-high 45 saves in that game. The Blues have killed 23 consecutive power plays and lead the league at 88.0 percent. Vladimir Tarasenko, with 19 goals, went into Wednesday's games one goal back of Dallas' Jamie Benn for the league lead. The Blues' two power-play goals in three tries on Tuesday means they have the best road power play in the league at 27.5 percent.

Predators * Nashville has lost five of its past seven, two of them in overtime (where they are 0-5 this season), and are in fifth place in the Central Division, though only four points behind the Blues for second. …
