Crimson Tide Women's Basketball Team Falls to Georgia Tech

ATLANTA -- The University of Alabama women's basketball team cut a 25-point deficit down to 12 before running out of time in a 70-58 loss at Georgia Tech on Friday night at McCamish Pavilion. With the loss, the Crimson Tide moves to 9-2 on the season, while the win lifts the Yellow Jackets to 9-3.

"Georgia Tech made shots, and we missed shots," said Alabama coach Kristy Curry. "They did a great job of making the extra pass, and we had trouble guarding it. You look at the stat sheet, and we get 62 and they get 63 shots. We outrebounded them by 13. We've got to make shots on the road. It's amazing what that does for you when you can come out here and get some makes in. You've got to credit those guys."

The Yellow Jackets used a 19-5 run in the second quarter to push their lead to 17 and took a 40-25 halftime lead and led by as many as 23 points in the third quarter. …
