Gamecocks Still Perfect after Beating Clemson

Michael Carrera scored 14 points and freshman PJ Dozier had 13 as host South Carolina gave up most of a 20-point lead before holding on to defeat rival Clemson (7-4), 65-59, and open 10-0 for the first time in 82 years.

South Carolina looked like it had this one wrapped up early, ahead 38-18 in the opening half. But Clemson rallied back in the second period to cut the lead to 57-53 on Donte Grantham's put- back basket with 6:10 to go. The Tigers made only one of their next six baskets in falling to the Gamecocks for a second season in a row.

The Gamecocks also had four players score in double figures. Jaron Blossomgame had 17 points for Clemson.
