Strong Year for Gusto, the Italian Restaurant Brand

ITALIAN restaurant chain Gusto continues to go from strength to strength after reporting strong financial results.

Gusto, which operates 12 restaurants across the north of England and Scotland, including sites in Alderley Edge, Cheadle Hulme and Knutsford, has reported a 22 per cent rise in sales to Pounds 18.2m for the year ending March 31, 2015.

Like for like sales outperformed the wider market growing 6.9 per cent and site EBITDA up 15 per cent on the previous year.

In December 2014, a flagship restaurant in Spinningfields, Manchester was launched with a Pounds 1.3m transformation of a grade two listed building.

During the period, parent company Living Ventures sold a majority stake (65 per cent) in Gusto to Palatine Private Equity . Living Venture founders Tim Bacon and Jeremy Roberts remain as nonexecutive directors. …
