A FORMER Manchester City starlet who killed a brother and sister in a horror smash is now training with Oldham Athletic.

Courtney Meppen-Walter served eight months behind bars after Kulwant Singh, 32, and his sister Ravel Kaur, 37, from Salford, were fatally injured when the player's car smashed into their Nissan Micra.

The disgraced footballer has spent the two years after his release from jail with League Two club Carlisle United, but his contract was terminated last month by mutual consent. Oldham have now taken him on trial.

The 21-year-old, from Blackley, has spent the past few days being put through his paces at the club's Chapel Road training ground.

He is said to have impressed boss David Dunn but the club have not yet taken a decision on whether to sign him permanently. …
