STEPHEN Parry's hopes of playing in next year's World S Twenty20 have been dealt a blow after he was left out of the latest England squad.

After helping Lancashire to victory in the NatWest T20 Blast - finishing the competition as joint-leading wickettaker with team- mate James Faulkner - the left-arm spinner was recalled by the Three Lions for their T20 series against Pakistan in the UAE.

He played in two of the three matches, and then played twice for the England Lions against Pakistan A and the UAE in Dubai.

However, the 29-yearold has now been left out of the 15-man squad for the two-game series against South Africa in Cape Town and Johannesburg.

He does, however, have achance to impress the selectors ahead of the World Cup - which starts in India on March 8 - by being included in the England Lions squad which will play a fivematch 50-overs series against Pakistan next month. …
