"Cirque Dreams Holidaze": 7:35 p.m. Dec. 29 and 2 and 7:35 p.m. Dec. 30, Benedum Center, Downtown. $39.75-$59.75; trustarts.org or 412-456-6666. The new cirque show is part Broadway musical and part Christmas spectacle. The New York Daily News declared it a "delicious confection of charm, sparkle and talent." The stage show includes 300 costumes, 20 acts and 30 artists, some from "America's Got Talent" and similar TV shows in other countries, plus singers, original music and seasonal favorites.

Kennywood Holiday Lights: 5-9 p.m. Saturday and next Sunday (Dinner with Santa, 3:30-4:30 p.m.). $14.99-$23.99; www.kennywood.com/?holidaylights or 412-461-0500. Local choirs sing and a million lights shine in the lagoon show choreographed to holiday melodies. There's also a 90-foot-tall Christmas tree and, new this year: Kennywood's 4-D Theater will screen "The Polar Express: A 4-D Experience." The 15-minute movie shows continuously.

"A Musical Christmas Carol": Pittsburgh CLO at the Byham Theater, Downtown. 2 and 7 p.m. today and 7 p.m. Monday-Wednesday. $16.75- $60.75; trustarts.org or 412-456-6666. Tom Atkins as Scrooge, with the rest of Charles Dickens' beloved characters played by a cast of Pittsburgh all-star performers, with Christmas standards sung throughout.

"A Beauty and the Beast Holiday": Gemini Children's Theater at Latitude 360, 200 Quinn Drive, Robinson. 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. today, 1:30 p.m. Saturday and next Sunday. $10; geminitheater.org and latitude360.com/?pittsburgh-pa. The children's theater is no longer at The Factory in Point Breeze, but it's been trying new digs and for the holidays lands at the entertainment center in Robinson.

Children's Museum of Pittsburgh: 10 Children's Way, North Side. Live events include a performance by Aeolian Winds, 1-3:30 p.m. today; Tom Roberts accompanies "Charlie Chaplin Silent Picture Show," 1-1:30 p.m. Saturday through Dec. 28; and "The Josh and Gab Show!," 3-3:30 p.m. Saturday.
