Angela McEwan * The woman who became a professional actress in her 70s, and drew acclaim for her role in Alexander Payne's "Nebraska," has died. She was 81.

Ms. McEwan died Sunday (Dec. 20, 2015) from complications due to lung cancer. The Los Angeles-born Ms. McEwan set out early in her life to become an actor, but largely gave it up to raise a family and work as a criminal-court Spanish interpreter.

Patricia Elliott * The woman who won a Tony Award in her Broadway musical debut, went on to star opposite David Bowie in "The Elephant Man" and spent 23 years on the TV soap opera "One Life to Live," has died. She was 77.

Ms. Elliott died of cancer Sunday (Dec. 20, 2015) at her home in Manhattan, according to her niece, Sally Fay. …
